1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Email address and account credentials
- Loyalty program account numbers and balances (from forwarded emails)
- Family member information for household accounts
- Payment information for subscriptions (processed securely by Stripe)
2. Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects:
- Pages you visit and time spent on each page
- Your general location (city/country level only)
- Device and browser information
- Referral sources (how you found our site)
We have configured Google Analytics with privacy-enhancing settings:
- IP addresses are anonymized
- Google Signals and ad personalization are disabled
- Restricted data processing is enabled for California users
You can opt-out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Email Parsing
When you forward loyalty program emails to our service, we automatically parse them to extract your account balances, expiration dates, and program status. We do not store the full email content - only the relevant loyalty data. You can delete your parsed data at any time from your account settings.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3). We never store your loyalty program passwords. Your data is only accessible to you and authorized household members you invite. All data is stored in secure Cloudflare data centers.
5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You can request information about the personal data we collect about you
- Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal data
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal data, but you can opt-out of analytics tracking
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@milemadness.com with the subject line "CCPA Request" and include sufficient information to verify your identity.
6. Your Choices & Account Management
You have full control over your data:
- Access, update, or delete your loyalty program data from your dashboard
- Export your data in CSV format
- Delete your account and all associated data permanently
- Opt-out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links
- Disable analytics tracking via browser settings or add-ons
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes. Loyalty program data is refreshed each time you forward a new statement.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will also email registered users.
